Legacy .NET, subcontracted
I take on the .NET work you don't want to staff.
Legacy .NET maintenance and migration for agencies, MSPs and IT firms across West Yorkshire. One engineer, evenings and weekends, next working day reply.
How I am available
- Evenings and weekends only.
- Next working day response, faster by arrangement.
- No production on-call.
Not a fit: greenfield builds, on-call rotas, and anything where I would be the only person who can keep a business running. If a system has nobody left who understands it, what you need first is handover documentation. I can write that as its own job.
How I work
For agencies, MSPs and IT firms
A client turns up with a WebForms app, an old WinForms tool, or a mobile app that stopped getting updates in 2024. You have nobody on the Microsoft stack and you are not going to hire one for a single job. Hand me that piece instead of turning the work away.
I subcontract. I do not approach your clients directly, and the relationship stays yours.
For businesses
I look after business software after the person who built it has left. Usually .NET: an internal system, a back office tool, something running quietly that nobody has touched in years.
What I work on
Maintenance and migration on the Microsoft stack. If the problem is on this list, send me the details and I will tell you whether I can take it.

Legacy .NET maintenance
Keeping systems built on .NET Framework working: WebForms, WinForms and WPF. Bug fixes, small changes, and the things that broke after a server moved.
Framework · WebForms · WinForms · WPF -
.NET upgrades and migrations
Moving a codebase off .NET Framework onto a supported version of .NET, in steps, without taking the system away from the people who use it every day.
Framework → modern .NET -
MSSQL
The database underneath it. Schema changes, queries that have got slower every year, and the stored procedures nobody wants to open.

Start with an audit
£600 for agencies and MSPs, £750 direct. One week, one document.
- What version the system is on
- What is out of support
- Where the security exposure is
- What an upgrade would actually involve
- What happens if you do nothing
It is a fixed price and it ends. If the answer is that the system is fine and needs nothing, that is a useful answer and the job is done.
